About the Tour

One of the best things about reaching middle-age is knowing that the challenges you face on a daily basis are shared by lots of other people. When those other people are stand-up comedians, suddenly the things that frustrate become a laughing matter.

That's the inspiration for the Midlife Crisis Comedy Tour, developed and launched in 2005 by Matt Wohlfarth, a professional comedian and comedy writer for more than 15 years.

On stage, Matt talks about the joys, frustrations and absurdities that everyone of a certain age finds in family life, work life. In a nutshell, he describes the hilarious show as "a laugh vacation from the monotony of middle age."

"I have four kids and have never been married," says Matt. "I just don't want to rush into anything."

Since the Midlife Crisis Comedy Tour began, it has been enthusiastically embraced by mid-lifers across the U.S., as well as those who are approaching that point in their lives.

"Most of the people in the audience are just like me," Matt says. "They are experiencing the challenges of work, love, parenthood, and more, and trying to balance it all on a day-to-day basis."
